Why this guide exists
Most couples start with a place. They want to marry near Clitheroe, or in the Forest of Bowland, and then need to know which venues hold their numbers, what they cost and whether they can marry there or only celebrate. That information is spread across dozens of venue websites and brochures, and the national wedding sites often leave out the price or the capacity.
This guide puts those facts side by side. Each venue page shows the capacity, any starting price the venue publishes, bedrooms, catering and whether Lancashire County Council lists it as approved for civil ceremonies, with a link to where each fact came from. Suppliers are listed by what they do and where they are based, with the local venues their own websites mention.

Digimill is a small website and search business in Lancashire. It builds websites for local businesses across Lancashire and Yorkshire, and publishes this guide so couples planning a wedding in the Ribble Valley can compare venues on the facts and find suppliers who work locally.
How venues and suppliers are chosen
Every listing starts from public business data. Venues count when they are in the Ribble Valley borough or the Forest of Bowland, plus a few approved venues just over the boundary, which are marked as outside the Ribble Valley. Suppliers count when they are based within about 20 miles of Clitheroe and show they work on weddings. We read each business's own website for the facts and leave out anything it does not say.
Right now that is 56 venues and 615 suppliers, last checked 2026-11-06. 29 venues are on the council's approved list, 26 publish a starting price and 39 publish a capacity.
Free listings
Every listing is free. Nobody pays to be listed or to change what a page says about them.
Who runs it
Ribble Valley Weddings is an independent guide published by Digimill. It is not connected with any venue, supplier or other business trading under a similar name.
